WHEN YOU ARE WAITING ON HIM TO CHANGE

When we love someone, specifically our partners or spouses, we love hard and are usually willing to endure about anything for the relationship to work. Sadly, relationships can be very tough. We are two imperfect people trying to love each other the best we can, and at the same time, love ourselves.

Relationships have many ups and downs; and sometimes relating to our partners is not an easy task, especially when we are with someone who can hurt us through their actions and words. But, because of the love we have for that person, we endure, give excuses, and let things go because we love them.

In this episode, of Convos with Chloe, I am hoping to help you navigate through the tough situation of waiting on your mate to change. It’s hard. It’s confusing sometimes. I get it. I hope I can help you find the peace, healing, and direction you need to experience a healthy and fulfilling relationship, and as always, experience a beautiful life on earth + eternity in heaven.

EPISODES HIGHLIGHTS.

  • The need for change. In these situations, confusion usually invades us, but recognizing the need for change is crucial. [3:41]
  • We all have areas we need to change. Not only your partner or spouses. Sometimes we ourselves need to generate a change to improve the relationship we are in. [6:25]
  • The heart and mindset of the issues. Problems can come from both sides, from him, from you, or circumstances outside the relationship. The important thing is to have a mentality willing to change and the wisdom to know the difference. Is it the environment? Is it him? Is it you?  [9:10]
  • How long are you willing to endure. Fighting for the relationship can become a daily task, but everything has a limit. Pray to God, listen, and see what he has to say to you because he will always know what’s best and how to direct you.[14:43]
  • It’s up to you. Decisions are not easy to make, but once we ask God for direction, we can know the answer about what to do. Whether or not you follow His direction is up to you. [23:06]

QUOTE

“Don’t question your relationship with God and God’s faithfulness based on what your partner or spouse is doing. God hears your prayer. God is working on everything you pray for, but he cannot force this person to change, he cannot make anyone do anything.” – Chloe M. Gooden
