Why We Have to Wait on Our Desires
What have you been asking God for? What desires are you waiting to be fulfilled? A new job? Healing? Or maybe a spouse?
I think we all are asking and waiting on God for something and sometimes wonder, “Why am I still waiting?” Check-in on “Convos with Chloe” and find out Why You Are Still Waiting on Your Desires.
What You Will Learn:
- Whatever you’re asking for, God is capable. He is the same God that was, is, always will be, meaning He is capable of whatever you’re asking Him for. Trust God to do it for you and in the same way, be content with the things you already have.
- Let go of your desires. God doesn’t want to feel like we desire some things over Him, He wants us to hold onto Him so He can fulfill us. He also wants us to be happy by fulfilling our desires but doesn’t want us to hold on to those desires. “Trust in God more than you trust in yourself because our minds are very minute compared to what the Lord can do in His spirit.”
- There are seasons for everything. Some things just can’t happen in our lives right now. God prepares us to be ready before fulfilling our desires at the right time. “There’s a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
- Sometimes God has His way to build your faith. God could be holding on from fulfilling your desires to build your faith in Him. “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
- Pray against the enemy and things trying to hinder the fulfillment of your desires. You have to be prayerful because prayer is effective and also have others praying with you.
- Sometimes God doesn’t give us things we have wrong intentions about. God wants you to first realize that only He can fulfill you before He gives you that desire. “When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
Conclusion
God loves you and wants to give you good things, but you have to trust Him and be open to how He chooses to give you those gifts. Trust His season and how He prepares you for your desires, so you can receive them well and hold on to them while building your relationship with Him.
