When He Says “He Isn’t Ready For A Relationship”
“Ugh! That frustrating sentence that we all hate to hear from a guy we love and adore. I’ve been there. You’ve given your all to this guy, and when it’s time for that next step, he utters the words, “I’m not ready for a relationship/commitment.” Where did this come from? We’ve been dating and seem to be on the same page, but you don’t want a relationship? It’s tough. I know. I’m hoping in this segment of “Convos with Chloe” I give you some insight from guys on what they mean when they say they aren’t ready, as well as what to do when they say it…CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. “
When He Says “He Isn’t Ready for a Relationship/Commitment”
The idea of dating is usually totally different for women than it is for men. We naturally seek a relationship with someone who gives us stability, and sometimes, men do not know what they want.
Many of us have gone through the devastating moment of dating someone who is not ready for a relationship, or a commitment, and come to think that we are not enough, that we are not beautiful, and tend to give up on ourselves based on these experiences. I want to let you know that YOU are enough and that YOUR worth as a woman, God’s perfect creation, will never be lost based on your dating status or relationship status.
Join me in this episode, where we will discover why there are men who are not ready for commitment and what they mean when they say they aren’t ready for a relationship.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
- Reasons why men are not ready for a relationship. I did a poll of the reasons why men are not ready. “I was talking to another woman.” “I wanted to keep my options open.” were some of the reasons. [4:02]
- What does it mean for you. Honesty is always the best, even if they tell us something we don’t want to hear. It’s better for them to be honest versus stringing you along. [8:05]
- How to react. Instead of having an immediate reaction. Take it easy, think about it, pray, but never question your worth as a woman. [14:44]
- Change your perspective of the situation. It is not the end of the world; change your perspective. There are many men out there willing to meet you and have a relationship with you. Maybe God wanted to protect you from that person. [16:42]
- My experience and what I learned. Never give up on yourself because of a man. Never turn what they say into what you want to hear. Never try to force them into a relationship or assume you can change their mind. [19:01]
